Company DescriptionKimrad Transport, LP Is A Regional Cargo Transport Company That Specializes In Transporting Liquid Asphalt, Petroleum Crude Oil, Anhydrous Ammonia And Other Liquid Petrochemicals To Various Industries And Customers. Job Description Kimrad is seeking an experienced dispatcher to join our growing operation. Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring on-time freight movement and efficient delivery of customer freight in accordance with DOT and company regulations.
  • Plans and coordinates pickup and delivery requests from customers and coordinates driver routes.
  • Provide support in overseeing equipment assignments in preparation for driver routes.
  • Assist in determining demands while ensuring on-time service.
  • Review driver hours-of-service and exemption use.
  • Audit completed loads ensuring accuracy in preparation for ready-to-bill.
  • Answer questions/concerns from drivers, including but not limited to company policies and procedures, dispatch rules and requirements, driver's manual, safety & security procedures.
  • Monitor and input data into all applicable systems.
  • Provide drivers with necessary paperwork (bills of lading, manifests, hazmat paperwork, etc).
  • Interact with drivers, providing them with daily necessities (i.e. communications and documents) pertaining to driver logs, training, DOT physicals, drug screens, expirations, etc.
  • Communicate with supervisors to coordinate projections and movement of assets.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports; perform administrative functions as required.
  • Maintain a list of active and available equipment across each terminal.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook) and internet.
  • 2+ years of experience preferably within hazmat/liquid bulk transportation (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of DOT, TX-DOT, Hazmat regulations
  • Working experience with a Transportation Management Software and ELD (Preferably with McLeod & Samsara)
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Have a proven ability to handle multiple-tasks, stay organized, and work independently and take initiative without immediate local supervision.
