**Forklift Operator/Order Picker**

**Department:** Warehouse **Location:** Woburn, MA

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Forklift O perator/Order Picker position is responsible for picking and staging orders set to ship out the following day . The ideal candidate will ensure warehouse tasks and activities are carried out following company health and safety procedures and compliance standards.

**POSITION DUTIES**

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*

* Operating a forklift

* Ensuring logs are filled out accurately each time a lift is signed out

* Building orders, confirming orders are accurate and complete

* Moving pallets or materials on pallets/crates around the facility

* Stacking pallets or materials in the correct manner and following inventory control instructions

* Loading and unloading of trucks

*Efficient and Accurate Product Handling:*

* Maintaining reasonable inventory levels by transferring or putting pallets away on racks to keep the workflow running smoothly

* Ensuring all pallets are properly tagged and wrapped prior to storage or being shipped

* E nsuring minimal damage and avoiding mixing of product dates

*Safety:*

* Maintaining an orderly and safe work environment

* Control of load and constant awareness of surrounding staff and environment

* Safe and efficient handling of lifts and other material-handling equipment as trained

**REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:**

* 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a distribution environment

* OSHA approved Forklift Certification

* Proper use of PPE

* Ability to obtain and maintain a Massachusetts Hoisting License

* Advanced understanding of product rotation and perishable product management

* Advanced math and computer skills

* Excellent safety record

* Familiarity with maintenance and safety procedures for warehouse equipment

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

* Ability to stand and/or be on the move 8 hours a day

* Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment for distribution pulling, cutting, packing, and shipping orders; must be able to meet required daily goals

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed during the course of a normal workday

**POSITION:** Forklift Shipping and Receiving Operator

**DEPARTMENT:** Woburn Warehouse

**FLSA:** Full Time, Non-Exempt

**SHIFT:** 7 am to 3 pm M-F

**JOB GRADE:** Kilderkin

**REPORTS TO:** Warehouse Manager
