Reporting Relationships: TheManager, Merchandise Operations will directly report to the Director,Merchandise Operations.
Major ResponsibilitiesTheManager, Merchandise Operations is primarily responsible for being the firstpoint of contact with North American Leads. They will also be accountable formanaging the initial stages of training and transition of MO Leads offshore andthen continue to be the strategic and functional manager for the MO team. Theywill oversee the performance and development of the Merchandise Operations teamas well as manage the tactical functions of the team. The Manager MerchandiseOperations partners with the Buying Team to measure demand (e.g., for purchaseorder entry, item set-ups, and price changes), and dispatches MerchandiseAdministrators to that work in a balanced way. The Manager MO also overseesquality control for off-shore work and helps Merchandise Administrators problemsolve on issues/flag issues appropriately to the on-shore Buying Team as needed
- Primarypoint of contact between onshore and offshore MO team leads
- As assenior advisor to the MO Leads for day to day functioning of the team includingtraining and performance management
- Communicatewith buying offices to measure demand for Merchandise Administrators' work(e.g., number of orders, number of items to be set-up, amount of price changes,etc.)
- Dispatchand balance demand coming in from on-shore Buying Team amongst MerchandiseAdministrators
- Asissues arise, help Merchandise Administrators as well as MO leads problem solveissues and flag as appropriate to on-shore team
- Conductsemi-annual performance reviews
- Train,motivate and develop team to ensure effective performance and growth
- Overseeimplementation of new systems, process upgrades, etc. as needed

He/she will possessaverage communication and interpersonal skills in order to engage withstakeholders across the business and provide critical input to business teams.This individual will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritiessimultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines and routine problem solvingand willingness to learn.
Professional Qualifications- Minimum6 to 10 years of total experience
- Relevantexperience of 3 to 4 years preferably in a Retail environment
- Minimum2 years' experience managing and coordinating large teams
- Strongcomputer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Strongwritten and oral communication skills
- Senseof urgency, flexibility and ability to multi-task would be desirable traits
- Detailoriented with good organizational and clerical skills
Educational CredentialsUniversityor college degree or commensurate retail experience
Office HoursShifts can vary based onorganizational needs
