A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Vendor & Purchasing Manager to join their team. In this role, the Vendor & Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the identification of all major vendor accounts and assisting with spend down andprocurements. Responsibilities: The Vendor & Purchasing Manager will:
- Assist the Technology and Fiscal department as they implement a new fiscal management system
- Creation and drafting of new supply ordering procedures for WB Mason, Staples and any other supply companies
- Creation and drafting of other procurement requirements such as equipment, vehicles, furniture, appliances, etc.
- Cataloging of all supplier accounts to be placed on the network drive
- Consolidation of service accounts that have multiple contracts, rates and scopes
- Working with copier consultant to create new copier accounts, RFP and bid process
- Identify opportunities to lower costs
- Attend meetings, take meeting notes, create assessment reports
- Communicate with administrative staff and project staff as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Corporate Vendor Management experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Extensive experience with consolidation of vendor accounts
- Strong writing and reporting skills
- Computer savvy, including database, NetSuite, Coupe and/or other financial systems
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
