The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package and career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities:Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and suppliesCounts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other identifying recordsEnsure product meets standards, is not damaged, or there are no shortages and communicates with the shipper to rectify any deficienciesOperates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storageResponsible to ensure cargo is secured properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transportDrive company vehicle when necessaryFills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests, documents transactions appropriately, prepares requisitions and computes costs, keeps records of storeroom inventoryMinimum Qualifications:Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstractAbility to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasksAbility to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computersAbility to retain information and communicate effectivelyAbility to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)Preferred Qualifications:Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset1-3 years' experience in a production environmentCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
