Family Partnership Center Ambassador Volunteer OpportunityFamily Partnership Center (FPC) Ambassadors are unpaid volunteers who create a welcoming environment for FPC visitors and assist with connecting people to services. The FPC is available to the community as a place to come together for conversation and the exchange of ideas, to participate in athletics and arts programming, and where a variety of nonprofits co-locate and collaborate to offer enhanced services that create real access supporting everyone's right to thrive. Requirements:
- Genuine interest in connecting with the community and providing help to people in need
- Willingness to learn about Family Services, the Family Partnership Center, and best practices in providing information and referrals
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly greeting and warm welcome to all FPC visitors
- Use active listening skills to serve as an ambassador of the FPC and assist with building directions, escorting visitors to their destination, identification of available services and a warm hand-off to service providers, and other reasonable visitor and staff requests.
- Alert Security and/or Facilities as needs arise
- Keep main entryway neat, orderly, and inviting
- Provide or assist with building tours as needed
- Assist at FPC events including greeting, ushering, and providing directions

- Comfortability approaching and interacting with a diverse population in a kind, respectful, and professional manner
- Personal alignment with agency values
Other Requirements:- Complete the standard Family Services background checks
- Complete required training, including on-site orientation
- Have reliable transportation to and from the Family Partnership Center for selected shifts
- Commitment to at least one 4-hour volunteer shift each month
