All positions require to be on site, Monday through Friday. We are open for business from 8 am to 4:30 pm for patients, with extended hours for staffing from 7:30 to 6pm. SUMMARY: As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. Our Licensed Physical Therapists (PT) work in collaboration with the doctor, patient and the patient support system to provide best in class care for return to health and activity. As a Physical Therapist, you are responsible for the evaluation of mobility, strength and level of function. Following APTA practice standards, you will establish goals to improve balance, walking and strength. With this information you will establish goals to improve balance, walking, strength, as well as patient education on proper techniques for exercises and activities to facilitate their recovery. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential in assessing patients' conditions and developing effective treatment strategies. Your collaboration with other healthcare professionals will ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Be able to communicate clearly with doctors to ensure our patients are getting the care they need or if our findings are deemed beyond our scope. Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and team members. Ensure that clinical notes are kept up to date, accurate and in the agreed time frame needed to allow for timely billing. Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results. Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons. Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about. Provide hands-on therapy techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Restores patient's function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy. Evaluates the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient's progress; and recommending adjustments and modifications. Instructs patients in proper in-home exercises and therapies in order to educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care. Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition. Use hands-on therapy to ease patients' pain and provide stimulation to promote healing. Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly. Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques is a plus. Ensures clinical notes and charting are accurate and complete in a timely fashion. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, experience and/or abilities required. Master's degree in physical therapy from a program approved by the APTA. Valid state CA license to practice as a Physical Therapist. Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Active license in the state of California. Copy of Negative TB test/Chest X-ray. Compassion and empathy for patients, who are often in pain. Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques not limited to: massages; applying physical agents; ultrasound machines, orthotic fitment and patient education. Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment, best practices for equipment use and preventative maintenance procedures. Experience with a wide range of patient age groups and injury states. Attention to detail regarding a patient's problems to analyze what they need to ease their pain and to prevent further injury. Physical stamina to lift patients and spend long hours standing and modeling exercises. Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them. Communication skills to interact clearly with doctors and family members as well as patients. Must be flexible and open to change as the clinic continues to grow and evolve. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to speak with patients with empathy and respect. At times are able to work under stressful conditions to meet unpredictable time demands. Strong attention to detail. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using electronic health record, working knowledge in EPIC is required and working knowledge with EPIC Electronic Heath Record system. REQUIRED : Hold an active license to practice physical therapy in the state of California Someone who has positive attitude with great people skills and comfortable with one-one interactions. Demonstrate a willingness to work with patients of all ages and functional levels. A minimum of two years experience providing therapy to patients in a fully equipped PT facility. BLS/CPR Certification with AED. Reading, math and writing skills with ability to pay attention to detail. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS365, One Drive, TEAMS. Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with patients, management, peers, and others. Possess strong organizational skills and be proactive. Must be a person of high integrity, commitment and possess a strong work ethic. Ability to manage tasks and complete them in a timely manner. HIPPA compliance training (training during onboarding). Patient confidentiality training (training during onboarding). Must have reliable transportation. Successfully pass a criminal background check. POSSIBLE REQUIREMENTS : Clean driving record, DMV check if driving to other sites or on behalf of the company. Company policy reimbursement is by IRS current standards per mile.
