Positive Behavior Intervention Support Manager

We are seeking a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Manager for our Promise Academy schools. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for the mission of HCZ Promise Academy, an understanding and respect for the culture of all residents of Harlem, and a desire to work in a school setting that fosters a love for children.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:40 am - 4:00 pm
What you will bring
* Bachelor's degree Required
* Master's degree with demonstrated experience in higher education, behavioral specialist, student counseling, or a student-related area preferred
* Prefer individuals familiar with students who have behavioral concerns
* Knowledge of student development and student learning theories preferred
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and administrative skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks

What you will do
* Reports directly to the Director of PBIS
* Supports grades K-12
* Keeps a digital database of all PBIS records, forms, observations, agreements, etc.
* Works with PBIS committee and serves as the liaison between school teams and upper administration
* Conducts observations of classrooms and school environments to ensure PBIS strategies and practices are being implemented with fidelity
* Makes recommendations based on school/classroom observations
* Supports and coaches teachers as it relates to PBIS implementation on the classroom level (Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports)
* Supports the Deans, Operations Directors, and Counselors as it relates to the creation and implementation of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Interventions
* Meets with school leadership twice monthly to ensure implementation and to review changes in data
* Provide support as it relates to being culturally responsive and respectful of trauma responses in order to make all supports and interventions individual and effective
* Provide support to families through meetings, workshops, and individualized training
Participate in district and school level PBIS team meetings
* Participate in statewide, regional, and national training/development for PBIS/MTSS as available or appropriate
* Keep up to date with new and changing literature in order to maintain the fidelity of practices
* Perform other duties as assigned
