A HHA / CNA / COMPANION CAREGIVER is needed to help service our Patients. Assists with activities of daily living, personal care and companionship. Performs frequent transfers and lifting, dressing, bathing, grooming and feeding for all assigned patients. Doctor appointment escort, grocery shopping, and errands. Social interaction and activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of home health experience required
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray will be required
  • Background check will be required
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Empathy for the needs of the client
  • Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a
  • positive public image
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English
  • Works as a team member
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
