The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 22 bed unit treating patients with acute medical-surgical or trauma-induced conditions, chronically ill and/or debilitated patients, and patients with acute cardiac illness. The ICU provides a variety of services including managing medical-surgical patients with holistic care, including psychological, cultural, emotional, medical, nutritional, and environmental needs. A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. Education/Experience Requirements Required: - Graduate of an accredited associate degree
*A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment.
Preferred: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree
*Bachelor's degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.
Licensure/Certification Requirements Required: - Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred: - Certification in a specialty area.
Critical Care Nursing - ACLS required within 1 year
- PALS required within 1 year
Hourly Rate Range $33.00 - $46.02 Based on verified education and experience
