Located in various project locations of Stranco Field Services LLC (headquartered in Houma, Louisiana) the Field Superintendent will be the hands-on company manager of all field projects as may be assigned. The successful Superintendent can work in a fast-paced industrial work environment while collaborating with Operations management, HSE&T, Customer, Vendor and office staff to ensure safe and satisfactory project completion based on specifications. Requirements
- Manages, coordinates, and supervises the torqueing and pressure testing process from the conceptual development stage through completion on a timely and economical basis in field locations
- Maintains accountability for project site compliance with all Stranco and OSHA safety rules and regulations
- Attends Customer's daily safety meetings and facilitates the corresponding Stranco safety meetings at job sites
- Manages and coordinates people, materials, equipment, schedules, contracts, and safety of employees at assigned field locations
- Manages and maintains all project-related documentation and provides HSE&T and Operations department with all pertinent information through the progress of the job
- Manages the activities of the Field/Document Control Technician who is responsible for project document control at assigned field locations
- Reads, interrupts, and analyzes P&ID and ISO drawings
- Evaluates and determines appropriate torqueing and pressure testing methods that provides the project with the most cost-effective plan and schedule
- Verifies that torqueing and pressure testing traceability is maintained during execution phase and to the extent of project SOPs
- Executes daily field ticket (that includes time and attendance of personnel assigned to field locations) with proper validations while maintaining constant communication with project manager.
- Oversees the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment and quality performance of workers, worker productivity, and safety
- Submits performance feedback on field personnel as requested
- Obtains all necessary permits to perform daily work activities at assigned field locations
- Meets regularly with contractor and its onsite management team to monitor and coordinate all phases of the construction project
- Coordinates with project manager and supervise the preparation of test activity to ensure all deficiencies are identified and punch lists are prepared
- Documents product nonconformance identified during the performance of assigned tasks and reports conditions to the project manager
- Participates and reviews JSEA's and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes
- Uses, maintains, and inspects equipment and materials properly
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
- Coordinates internal resources and third-party vendors in field project locations
- Any additional duties as assigned by Operations and HSE&T management staff
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 5-7 years' experience with project leadership in industrial setting
- Project Management certification or specialization preferred
- Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills used internally and externally (with emphasis on customers and vendors)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- Intermediate computer skills especially Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), PC/Mac, and Outlook; budget and project tracking software experience preferred
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. ad carry up to 30 lbs
- Proficient close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, speech and hearing
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
