Job Title: Inventory Support Specialist Location: Lincoln, NE Department: Inventory/Logistics Reports To: Inventory Manager Position Type: Part-time / Full-timeJob Summary: The Inventory Support Specialist is responsible for executing essential inventory-related tasks, particularly retagging inventory items and managing tasks that are delegated by the Inventory Manager. This role ensures that inventory systems are accurate, items are properly labeled, and the inventory environment remains organized and efficient. Key Responsibilities: - Retagging Inventory: Remove old tags from inventory items and replace them with new or updated tags. Ensure that all tags are accurately and securely affixed to the correct items. - Inventory Audits: Assist in the preparation and execution of inventory audits. Ensure that all tagged items are accounted for and any discrepancies are reported and resolved. - Labeling and Organizing: Create and apply labels for new inventory items, ensuring they adhere to company standards and are easy to read. Help maintain an organized inventory layout. - Task Support: Perform various tasks as assigned by the Inventory Manager, which may include data entry, assisting with stock replenishment, or managing inventory documentation. - Communication: Coordinate with the Inventory Manager and other team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and any issues are communicated promptly. - Inventory Handling: Assist with the physical handling of inventory items, including moving, sorting, and storing products as needed. - Process Improvement: Provide feedback on inventory processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus. Experience: Prior experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a similar role is preferred. Skills: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in retagging and data entry. - Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and software. - Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Physical stamina to handle inventory items and perform manual tasks. - Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs., and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and bending.
