Job Title:GGC Network Engineer 3 Location: Lawrenceville, GA Duration: 6+ months contract Position Overview: As a GGC Network Engineer 3, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of our network infrastructure. Collaborating with our Network Team and Department Director, you will provide technical support, deploy/maintain core switches, manage campus telephone systems, and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Network Team to ensure network security and connectivity.
- Provide end-user support for network issues based on business priorities.
- Deploy, maintain, and manage core and edge switches.
- Maintain campus telephone system including SIP, PRI, and VoIP.
- Manage host name servers, DNS, and DHCP.
- Ensure proxy authentication through NPS and Radius.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.
- Research and make recommendations to improve networking standards.
- Be on-call 24x7 for emergency network issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with IP networks and supporting systems.
- Proficiency in Cisco Catalyst switches, enterprise networking, and routing.
- Experience with Extreme Devices and Hive Manager.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco VPN.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
