We are currently seeking an Sprinkler Service Technician (Fitter) for our Commercial operation to support a diverse portfolio of service. Maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations. Builds relationships with current customers by delivering on our promises and creates new relationships with potential customers in a proactive manner, promoting all of our services. Join our team of over 900 of the best Fire Protection Professionals in the industry.Execute complex service tasks or services on a wide range of mechanical product lines. Identifies and resolves complex troubleshooting issues. Provides guidance to more junior level technicians as needed.
  • Perform service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Complete service acknowledgements electronically via ServiceTrade.
  • Provide detailed comments in ServiceTrade of the service/repairs you made and take pictures before and after.
  • Installation of new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers
  • Read and interpret blueprints, in order to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
  • Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.
Requirements
  • At least four (4) years experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems as well as backflow and fire pumps
  • Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements.
  • Ability to read fire system design drawings
  • Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safety
  • Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely.
  • Knowledge of the fire protection industry
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standard.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
