Job OverviewSummary/Objective The Facilities Representative is responsible for planning, directing, and maintaining building maintenance and services, as well as the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of dealership equipment to ensure maximum production of the dealership.Essential Functions
  • Inspects structure of building and determines if repairs are needed
  • Ensures roofs, boilers, and elevators have updated inspections
  • Oversees grounds keeping
  • Maintains, disposes of, or relocates office equipment and furniture
  • Ensures beverage and refreshment stands are maintained and manages service repairs with the vendor
  • Develops solutions to difficult problems, manages outside contractors, and is on call for emergencies
  • Performs environmental hazard management/planning and remediation
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all company personnel and vendors
  • Implements and uses all preventive maintenance programs, safety requirements, and checklists
  • Maintains company standards for plumbing, electrical, painting, lighting, HVAC, and basic general repairs
  • Uses all resources available to accurately and efficiently identify, follow-up, and resolve all maintenance and repair opportunities
  • Maintains accurate records of all maintenance activities and labor hours and abides by company guidelines for timekeeping and overtime controls
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Supports a strong culture of safety and notifies management immediately of any unsafe working conditions
  • Establishes personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals
  • Understands the terminology of the business and keeps abreast of technology changes
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local requirements which govern the company's business
  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
  • Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintains a professional appearance of self and designated work area in accordance with company policy
  • Attends pertinent training
  • Attends company meetings as required including all facility safety and development meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Previous maintenance experience. Strong ability for on the job training. General Construction background desired.Preferred Education and Experience Associates degree or equivalent; and three to five year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Automotive dealership facility experience.Electrical and electronic principles.Blueprint and electrical schematic reading.Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Certification/Licenses/Registrations)Must be certified in both Electrical and HVAC repairValid driver's license with clean driving recordCertification of taking a 20 Hour OSHA class Fork Lift certificationAerial Lift CertificationSafety Sensitive PositionThe essential functions of this position require a person to work with hazardous or flammable materials; AND/OR to complete tasks in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, including without limitation the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.
