Job Type Full-time Description The Metal Fabrication Team Lead will oversee and coordinate the activities of the metal fabrication team, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality metal components. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in metal fabrication processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and motivate team members. Requirements Qualifications Required: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. • Proficiency in various metal fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, bending, and assembly. • Strong understanding of fabrication machinery, tools, and equipment. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Commitment to safety and quality standards. • Fluency in English is required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Shifts Available: • Monday through Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm. May be asked to arrive early or stay late. Compensation and Benefits: • Pay is $25.00/hour • Unlimited/Flexible Paid Time Off balances • 401(k) with Company Match • Health, Dental, and Vision • Paid Parental Leave • Company Paid Short Term Disability, Life and AD&D Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of metal fabricators and machine operators. • Schedule and assign tasks to team members based on production priorities and individual skills. • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety protocols. • Monitor team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements as necessary. • Oversee daily production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, timelines, and cost objectives. • Coordinate with other departments, such as design and quality control, to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of products. • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. • Ensure all fabricated products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications. • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to company safety policies and procedures. • Conduct safety training sessions and maintain up-to-date records of safety certifications and compliance. • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on fabrication techniques, machinery operation, and welding processes. • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in metal fabrication. • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and new fabrication methods. • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, ensuring timely reordering and minimizing waste. • Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment, coordinating with maintenance staff as necessary. • Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment by team members. • Perform other duties assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.
