Company Overview:Champion Personnel is currently seeking both trainees and experienced Mechanical Assemblers for our client located in Aurora, Ohio. Our client designs and manufactures best-in-class power quality products including Static Transfer Switches, Power Distribution Units and Remote Power Panels. Position Overview: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling sheet metal cabinets used to house the power distribution equipment. This includes assembling the frames and installing shelves/doors using both hand and power tools.Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and order details
- Perform hand and power tool based assembly (step-by-step)
- Install components based on customer order
- Maintain appropriate supply of materials needed for production
- Inspect finished assemblies to ensure they are correct
- Maintain a safe, clean environment
Requirements:
- 1+ year of assembly experience preferred, but not required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong visual acuity
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to follow complex written instructions and diagrams
- Strong commitment to safety
Additional Details:
- Shifts available: 1st- 6am to 2:30pm M-F and 2nd 2pm to 12:30am M-Thurs
- Starting pay is based on experience
