Position Title Driver (Contractual-As Needed) Job Type Temporary/Contractual Position InformationApplications are accepted ongoing for contractual positions. There are no benefits associated with the position. Positions are filled as needed.ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, operates transportation vehicles and loading equipment to transport passengers and deliver equipment, materials and/or documents. Drives the van five (5) days a week to include evening hours involving hourly round trips to the off campus apartments and back to campus. Operates automobiles, buses, vans, and trucks; loads and unloads equipment and materials; ensures safe delivery of shipment and passengers; records fuel and oil consumption, mileage, hourly operation, and maintenance activities; maintains records pertaining to vehicle operation such as scheduled trips, transported materials, and maintenance appointments for assigned vehicle(s). Performs other related duties as assignedClassification 37-0000 Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations Required QualificationsOne year as a driver. Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate class and endorsement codes.Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesWorking knowledge of the care and operation of automotive transportation vehicles. Skill in driving in all kinds of weather and road conditions.
