Officer will investigate crimes and apprehend suspected Law violators. The goal is to achieve community safety and crime reduction.Responsibilities:Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibility policing.Patrol assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people/propertyInvestigate crimes and apprehend suspected law violators.Observe and respond to various situations or emergenciesFollow rules, guidelines and protocolsConduct initial investigationsGather evidence and ensure successful prosecutionsProduce internal reports and provide feedback on case statusDeal with case paperwork and administrative proceduresFoster good public relationships and liaise with community groups or individualsCoordinate operations with other emergency servicesAttend and Provide evidence in court.Patrol on foot, vehicle, and bicycle all areas of the campus.Watch for potential criminal activity on campus, such as trespassing, vandalism, etc.Conduct routine and special request locking and unlocking of campus buildings.Prepare reports as required.Provide escorts for campus community.Inspect and maintain physical safety concerns on campus such as lighting and fire systems.Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibilityRequirements:Proven working experience in law enforcementProficiency in using police equipmentExcellent knowledge of standard operation procedures, judicial procedures civil and constitutional lawsWorking knowledge of interrogation techniques and scene managementAdequate interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build effective working relationshipsSound judgment along with effective decision making skillsConflict resolutions and problem solving skillsResponsibility, dependability, honesty and integrityWilling to submit to extensive medical and criminal background checksValid driving licenseBe a U.S. CitizenAt least 21 years of age.Valid drivers' license with a safe driving record.Possess computer skills.EDUCATION:High School degree; BS degree in Police Science or related field is desirable.
