Once a summary page appears, hover your mouse over the orange Action button for a list of possible approval step options.Position Information Position Title Health Service Liaison Job Summary In keeping with the President's cornmitment to Tuskegee University demonstrating Excellence in Every Way, the ideal Health Service Liaison will be able to assist in the daily operations and management of the National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care in Kenny Hall, 44-1 12 and in alignment with the Office of the President.Essential Job Duties
  • Provide leadership in assisting and evaluating all health and health care services related activities of the Bioethics Center
  • Plan and coordinate health and health care services initiatives of the Bioethics Center
  • Responsible for project coordination, operation, management and evaluation of health and health care services related activities at the Bioethics Center
  • Develop linkages with community-based agencies, state and local governments, schools that serve the needs of individuals and families affiliated with the Bioethics Center to assure health care services are available, accessible and acceptable Create partnerships between the Bioethics Center, public health agencies, colleges and universities related to health and health care service
  • Collect, compile and analyze data that document engagement of the various service pannership at the Bioethics Center
  • Participate in trans-disciplinary activity efforts and program development related to health and health care service, to assure a public health ethics component is included
  • Assist in publishing work associated with health and health care services activities at the Bioethics Center
  • Assist in coordinating the Public Health Ethics Intensive Course during the Annual Commemoration of the 1997 Presidential Apology for the United States Public Health Services Syphilis Study at Tuskegee. Qualifications
This job description is not all inclusive as it related to the prescribed functions, duties, skills, knowledge and experience to do the job. Incumbent may be required to attend training, and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
  • Bachelor's degree required with course work in health education, philosophy, public health, minority and/or public health; Master's degree preferred
  • Training and previous experience in health education required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Proficiency in Spanish, preferred
Physical Demands N/ASkills and Attributes
  • Previous experience in community organizing desired
  • Previous research experience in public health, the humanities or social science preferred

  • Ability to thing and work independently
  • Strong and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated oriented attention to detail
  • Must be a team player, and provide excellent customer service
