- Compensation is commensurate upon education & experience - range is $15 /hour or more (depending on education & experience). Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, prepare, and deliver meals promptly to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Practice safe food handling in line with UNC Health's food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, contributing positively to patient, visitor, and team member experiences.
- Assist with dishwashing and other kitchen tasks as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of food safety regulations, basic computer skills, and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, or transfer over 50 pounds; prolonged standing, walking, bending, and other physical activities.

- Regular exposure to food preparation areas, requiring frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching.
- Flexible work hours, including weekends and holidays, with continuous standing or walking for shifts lasting up to 8 hours.
