Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionResponsible for the coordination and oversight of South Brooklyn Health's Human Resources Department reception area, and ensuring regulatory compliance of HR standards.Summary of Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for HR Reception area; answer phones; provide appropriate information and/or direct inquiries as necessary; distribute and collect various HR forms, as requested
  • Issue employment verifications
  • Issue memos for all Hospital IDs to all employees, volunteers, students, vendors, etc.
  • Track HR's regulatory compliance including, but not limited to training, performance evaluations, licenses, annual physicals, etc
  • Disseminate compliance reports to impacted employees and their managers
  • Update and upload confidential data and documents into electronic OnBase system
  • Consistently review personnel records for ongoing compliance
  • Identify and prioritize areas of compliance vulnerability and recommend solutions to department leadership
  • Utilize PeopleSoft HRIS to process reports, enter data and maintain compliance with all NYC Health + Hospitals personnel policies and procedures
  • Assist Recruitment/Background/Retirement units as necessary
  • Daily mail pick-up and distribution for HR
  • Assist with hospital-wide programs
  • Additional ad-hoc projects, as required
Minimum Qualifications1. Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline; or2. High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources, administration, labor relations, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns), or a related administrative support function.If applying online, please include your cover letter in the same file attachment with your uploaded resume.NYC Health and Hospitals offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
