Job Description :

A Cedar Valley manufacturer is currently seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk to join our team! General responsibilities include compiling, processing and maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records, along with general administrative duties in cooperation with sales and production aspects of a manufacturing business. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling, coding, and vouching accounts payable. Process payables checks.
  • Process and manage accounts receivable. Prepare aging report.
  • Maintain cash receipts journal, cash activity sheet, and bank deposits.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and receipts.
  • Update and maintain vendor and customer accounts database.
  • Audits and verifies expense reports.
  • Prepares bank deposits and processes credit card transactions
  • Process customer invoices and credit memos for sales activity.
  • Process and close shop orders in correspondence to sales orders.
  • Handle incoming customer correspondence, including mail, faxes and emails.
  • Perform various administrative duties, as assigned by supervisor, including scanning to document management system, filing sales orders and customer account information, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable with analytical ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office and keyboarding
  • Prior customer service and clerical experience
  • Ability to process data accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
Expected weekly average hours would be 20-30. EEOE Offer will be contingent on a pre-employment drug screening.
