SUMMARY As a Dental Assistant, your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a sterile office environment and keep accurate records greatly contributes to the success of the dentist and the satisfaction of the patient.
STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: Clifton Springs Hospital DEPARTMENT: Dental SCHEDULE: Days ATTRIBUTES - At least one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES - Dental Assistance. Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes
- Sterilization & Maintenance. Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures
- Documentation & Coordination. Maintain all patient records and update as necessary
EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
