An early childhood center in New York City is actively seeking a dedicated and diligent Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their growing staff. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work four days per week from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Responsibilities The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:
- Help students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities
- Evaluate and treat students with disabilities
- Maintain daily progress and attendance records
- Write progress reports
- Attend IEP meeting
- Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology
- Provide the best possible quality care to all students
Qualifications
- Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- New York State TSSLD
- Pediatric and school experience
- Experience working with developmental delays and emotionally disturbed children
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
