SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Massage Therapy Technical Assistant for our Massage Therapy program within our Nursing & Allied Health Division.

The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor's degree or lower the rate of pay will be $21.22 per hour. For a Master's degree or higher the rate of pay will be $23.34 per hour.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Typical Work Activities

* Oversee students in Lab/Clinical courses

* Ensure clinical areas are safe and clean for both students and faculty

* Set up, clean, and schedule clinical

* Assist the coordinator in lab practice and evaluation of students

* Maintain equipment, inventory of equipment, ordering/receiving of laboratory supplies and the organization and storing of supplies

* Properly dispose of used supplies

* Assist the coordinator in purchase requisitions

* Other duties as assigned by AVPAA for NAH

Essential Functions

Must be able to operate computers; must be able to relate to a diverse population of students; must be able to relate to faculty, staff, and senior members of the administration; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing; must be able to prepare written reports and presentations using technology; must be able to physically perform the functions of the position; must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree; current NYS licensure as a Massage Therapist.

Desirable Qualifications

One-year experience as licensed Massage Therapist.
