Overview:

Working closely with the manufacturing team, the Production Administrator is responsible for activities relating to customer support, purchasing, inventory control, and production planning & scheduling. The Production Administrator is the main contact on the customer side relating to order fulfillment. Additionally, the Production Administrator will have responsibility for purchasing and assisting in inventory accuracy and reporting through working closely with the Production Supervisor assisting with setting work assignments, schedules, distributing work orders, and monitoring inventory for accuracy. The Production Administrator will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all customers and suppliers.

This position requires proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent. Candidates will be expected to complete assessment and / or provide examples of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hour

Location: 24 Riverview Drive, Marlboro, NY

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

Perform the clerical tasks related to order entry in a timely and accurate manner and maintain sales order and shipping documentation.

  • Utilize ERP systems and tools to set balanced production schedules to meet customer requirements, including releasing work orders to the shop.
  • Serve as the companys primary point of contact for schedule inquiries, maintaining proactive and positive communications with CMW management and the customer to keep all informed of any exceptions to planned and required deliveries.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely entry and maintenance of production-related information in the ERP system, including but not limited to inventory items, bill of materials, routers, and other productionrelated documentation and files.
  • Perform hands-on purchasing activities (raw materials, contractors, general supplies) and maintain all orders, vendor records, pricing, and receiving.
  • Responsible for evaluating material needs and delivery times to ensure commitments are met by using ERP tools to identify existing material shortages and work with management, vendors, and or the customer to resolve.
  • Maintain accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory.
  • Assist in managing inventory in the bin areas through the ERP cycle count process and overseeing cycle counting and inventory movement transactions and coordination of periodic physical inventory counts as directed by the accounting department.
  • Responsible for updating, editing, and scheduling changes to Global Shop routings and BOMs.
  • All other duties as assigned, including assisting in the resolving of production issues to minimize delays.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High school diploma; some college preferred
  • Thorough understanding of production processes and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Strength and experience in coordinating production, ordering, and scheduling.
  • At least 2 years of experience in related fields and experience with ERP purchasing, inventory control, production, and planning/scheduling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent.
