This job was posted by : For more information, please see: cranes and other equipment to safely move loads of various types and weights from one point to another without damage to the object moved, property or personnel.ResponsibilitiesActs in a combined capacity as driver/machinery mover/millwright/laborer.Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transportReports to manager, directly supervises oiler, assist team leader and signal personsResponsible for personal safety and safety of co-workersShows commitment to TCR safety culture through personal behavior and willingness to influence othersResponsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operationsPerform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of craneSupervise oiling of the craneResponsible for own and riggers compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operators jobRemains in continual voice (radio), hand, and or communication with rigger while operating the craneResponsible for creating an environment fostering open communications concerning safety issuesParticipates in safety meetings and other rigger safety programsAssures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly riggedAssures that lifting gear is inspected prior to useFollows correct lock-out and tag proceduresOperates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms tasks assigned by rigger during lifting proceduresOther duties as assigned.Requirements & Skills25 years of ageMust have CDL, Class A, and be in compliance with all state and federal laws2 years of heavy/extra heavy unit driving experienceNCCCO certificate in appropriate crane typeOne year experience as crane operatorCompletion of High School or secondary education is preferredMust pass pre-employment testing included but not limited to: fit-for duty test, back exam & background checkWorking ConditionsWorking conditions vary day by day and requires both indoor and outdoor activities. Physically, should be strong and quick. The job often calls for a lot of lifting, climbing, and physical force.
