Strong Java on Linux, approx 1-5 years experience Experience with multi-threaded real-time systems Experience optimizing systems for performance Strong relational database experience (MS SQLServer/Sybase/Postgres) Experience UNIX shell scripting and with scripting languages (any one of Python/Perl/Ruby) Experience with 24--7 always-on applications in which downtime is limited and operational tools are important Big data experience with HBASE and map/reduce environment Web experience with Single Page Apps in a Rails/Django or similar environment Small company experience is a plus BSCS or equivalent work experience Candidate is expected to be/have: - Good communication skills
