LINE COOK I JOB DESCRIPTION G ENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES At Magnolia, the Line Cook is responsible for prepar ing food to the Assistant Kitchen Managers specifications and set ting up the menu. This position assists the Assistant Kitchen Manager with their daily tasks. The Line Cook play s a key role in contributi ng to the Tables guest satisfaction , as well as acquisition goals. This position work s from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Kitchen or bakery experience required 3-5+ years of work experience on the line in a high-volume restaurant required While performing the duties of this j ob, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role as frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
