**Core Responsibilities**

* The Department Manager will lead an industry-leading EV Programs team that will execute on ambitious targets to deploy thousands of EV chargers in the Company's territory in a manner that accelerates electrification of transportation and brings significant customer, environmental and business benefits.

* With a constant focus on increasing efficiency and productivity oversee all aspects of program operations from business development that leads to the development of a robust program queue to program operations that manage every aspect of the application process (such as eligibility verification, incentive determination and cost validation) to coordination with engineering teams on the utility and customer-side to ensure prompt project completion and finally through to verification, incentive disbursement and project closeout.

* Be responsible for management of program and stakeholder strategy to develop automation tools to strategically optimize efforts, strategies to respond to an evolving transportation marketplace including through incentive adjustments, and strategies to engage stakeholders and regulators in a sincere effort to establish rules and funding levels that enable the successful execution of programs through achieving targets and state policy priorities.

* Oversee efforts to participate in larger Company efforts in the clean energy and electrification space and will be responsible to provide information and business insights to departments such as corporate affairs and strategic planning based on the execution experience of managing the programs.

* Become recognized as an expert leader in the nation and a champion of transport electrification inside and outside the Company; and work with other internal Con Edison departments and external stakeholders whose collaborative efforts can drive success on schedule and budget as well as advance Company business and leadership in this space.

* Lead, improve upon and maintain Con Edison's services for fleets in order to encourage orderly development of fleet electrification and provide insights to planning organizations within the Company to prepare and plan for new electrifying loads in advance of actual applications to the Company.

* Oversee the development of progress measurement dashboards and materials to both actively manage and adapt to changing circumstances and communicate progress towards objectives of the EV infrastructure program to various internal and external stakeholders including senior management, all impacted internal departments, key external stakeholders and policy makers.

* Oversee and manage implementation of processes so programs are executed to a high, auditable standard and oversee the preparation of transport electrification related data for thought papers, regulatory submissions, reporting, and interrogatory responses in regulatory proceedings.

* Help prepare summaries for the department Director to help evaluate regulatory commission statements, recommendations, rulings as well as stakeholder comment filings related to EVs to understand impact on Con Edison's planned transport electrification programs and recommend advocacy priorities that are necessary for business success.

* Keep abreast of EV implementation strategies being undertaken in neighboring jurisdictions and across the country and the world to derive lessons that can be used to improve productivity and efficient delivery of program goals.

* Perform other related task and assignments as required.

**Required Education/Experience**

* Bachelor's Degree And 8 years of experience with 5 years of relevant experience in the clean transportation sector or closely related areas in the energy and utilities industry.

**Preferred Education/Experience**

* Master's Degree

**Required Work Experience**

* Must have demonstrated expertise, experience, and a track record of success in managing large programs in areas related to clean energy. Required

* Must have demonstrated ability of managing a larger organization with a multitude of responsibilities requiring hands-on management and coordination for success. Required

* Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, developers, energy service providers, regulators, elected officials, internal organizations working to provide new electric service and all levels of management. Required

* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills necessary to successfully interface with and influence executives, customers, business partners, regulators, public officials and other external stakeholders. Required

* Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Required

* Experience managing the rate case process or regulatory relationships for non-traditional parts of the utility business and involvement with projects such as customer side solutions or DER infrastructure (e.g. storage). Required

* Experience managing projects related to distributed energy resources or infrastructure serving customers' energy related needs. Preferred

* Demonstrated work experience leading a fast-paced, project-oriented team preferred. Preferred

* Working knowledge of regulatory processes such as preparation of rate proceedings, responding to commission orders and responses to interrogatories preferred. Pref

* Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
