Join our dynamic Foster Family Agency as a Resource Parent Recruiter and play a vital role in finding loving and supportive homes for children in need.
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team and help us build a strong network of Resource Parents.
Responsibilities:
Identify, engage, and recruit potential foster parents who can provide safe and nurturing environments for children in foster care.Build relationships with individuals, families, and community organizations to promote awareness of foster care opportunities and encourage them to become resource parents.Develop and implement innovative strategies to recruit resource parents, including targeted outreach campaigns, community events, and collaborations with local organizations.Conduct informational sessions, presentations, and workshops to educate potential resource parents about the foster care system, requirements, and the rewards of fostering.Conduct home visits and screenings to assess the suitability of potential resource parents and provide them with guidance and support throughout the application process.Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, including inquiries, applications, and outcomes, using our database system.Attend community events, fairs, and meetings to promote foster care services and actively engage with potential resource parents.Work in an office setting as required, with a schedule defined by the supervisor to meet business needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Knowledge of foster care regulations, licensing requirements, and child welfare systems is advantageous.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds.Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively.Compassion, empathy, and understanding of the challenges faced by children in foster care and their families.Must be able to reach, bend, lift and move boxes up to fifteen pounds.Employees must pass a background check and receive TB and health clearances prior to employment.Work Environment: This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week. Hybrid work, partially in the office and in the community. Local travel to various worksites is required.
