Hiring Manager:

Senior Compensation Accountant

Position Responsibilities

This Payroll Associate will play an important role on the Compensation Team. The individual will be responsible for the timely preparation and accurate processing of Firm payroll which includes offering helpful / courteous customer service to colleagues and responding to all payroll questions. This role will also work closely with Human Resources and other internal teams to ensure all tax reporting, benefits records administration and payroll issues are handled accurately and appropriately.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Preparing updates to payroll records, monitoring changes in compensation and completing month-end, quarterly and annual processes

* Assisting with semi-monthly payroll reports, reconciliations and review of year-end tax forms

* Working with the Finance Team on funding payroll and assisting the Accounting Team on queries tied to the monthly close process

* Providing support during audits

* Maintaining payroll and internal control procedures

* Keeping current with best practices and the latest payroll laws and regulations

* Recommending opportunities to improve and automate payroll processes

* Partnering with internal payroll consultants on international payroll and expat payroll

* Contributing to ad-hoc projects related to process improvements, system enhancements and broader team / Firm initiatives

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field

* 2+ years of relevant work experience in Payroll with solid understanding of multi-state payroll taxes

* Experience with ADP and Workday preferred

* International payroll experience is a plus

* Ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion

* Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build strong collaborative relationships across various groups within the Firm

* Excellent time management skills, able to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment

* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, detailed-oriented with a can-do attitude when resolving issues

* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

* Abide by our work-in-office policy then in effect

Compensation and Benefits

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $90,000 to $110,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
