POSITION SUMMARY: The Foreman, Electrical will report directly to the General Foreman, Electrical. Entry level field management position. Comfortable in a leadership role and leading crews 5-10 employees. Responsible for planning crews task daily. Thorough understanding of all facets of blueprint reading and details. Assist General Foreman and other Foreman with daily tracking, planning and communication of problems and issues in the field. Institute a 'Safety First' culture for the field. This position is designated as a safety sensitive position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs all work in a safe manner. Complies with all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Performs all work that they are qualified and trained to do in a manner to protect themselves, their fellow employees, and the public from injury.
  • Have basic understanding of construction math
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to create a 1 week look ahead in collaboration with electrical supervision
  • Ability to lead small crews safely and productively
  • Create material list in collaboration with electrical supervision
  • Willingness to learn and embrace continuous improvement culture
  • Ability to understand construction documents and layout work in the field for crews
  • Has a general understanding of quality control and how to implement quality control
  • Able to receive direction and communicate direction with crews
  • Understands Job Hazard Analysis documents and how to properly fill out JHA forms
  • Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies.
  • Ability to understand and communicate information and work in a team environment
  • Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
  • Operates vehicles and equipment necessary to perform the job. Inspects vehicles and equipment for proper operating conditions.
  • Understands the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.
  • Capable of receiving and following directions.
  • Assist team members with any issued work assignments and see that production are consistent and documented.
  • Have basic analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
  • Ability to handle criticism appropriately.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Apprenticeship license or be able to obtain one in the state you are working in (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
  • OSHA-30 certification (Preferred)
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wire diagrams and schematics, one lines, and details
  • Ability to lay out and do take offs for material and hours for specific tasks
  • Full knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Knowledge of project plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMAND:
  • Travel up to 100%
  • Ability to travel out-of-state for extended periods of time
  • May require lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short to long distances for 8-10 hours a day
  • Individuals in this position work in an outdoor environment and must be able to tolerate all climates
