Requirements POSITION SUMMARY: The Reservation and Ticket Agent is responsible for providing personal, responsive and professional service to all guests in selling all aspects of guests' reservations and products at Granby Ranch. This can include but is not limited to: lessons, lift tickets, rental equipment, season passes and other products as they become available.

  • Provide information, answer questions, manage changes to reservations, handle complaints and assist each guest regarding activities, tickets, lift and trail access, and general information about the Granby Ranch area.
  • Answer telephone in a timely fashion, answer questions, make reservations, and manage changes and cancellations to existing reservations in a friendly, professional manner.
  • As assigned, respond to e-mail requests for new reservations and information.
  • Determine client needs using active listening skills and needs determination questions - provide information and available options for client to make an informed decision regarding vacation planning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of weather and snow conditions, Resort general information, Resort products & promotions, lodging packages, Resort & local events special events.
  • Sell lift tickets, rental equipment, and ski school lessons daily.
  • Process coupons and promotions as required.
  • Process credit card cash transactions and adhere strictly to guest and other privacy policies.
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.
  • Organize prepaid reservation packets for the following day.
  • Complete closing procedures for individual selling stations.
  • Work with other departments to ensure goals are met and processes are effective.
  • Keep a calm, organized, and positive environment at all times.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain an exceptional level of service in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and other/all departments.
  • Answer all Reservation Center calls and emails in an efficient and helpful manner.
  • Sell and book Ski Granby Ranch offerings- including, but not limited to- Season Passes, Lift Tickets, Ski School, and other associated packages.
  • Help assist the Guest Relations Manager and Supervisor prepare reservation packets consisting of prepaid information for the Ticket department daily.
  • Respond to and follow up on all requests in a timely manner.
  • Handle all guest information professionally and in confidence at all times.
  • Work with other departments to ensure goals are met and processes are effective within the Reservation Center operations.
  • Keep a calm, organized, and positive environment always.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with Retail and Rental departments as requested.
  • Assist with wedding and group sales bookings.
  • Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interactions with guests, fellow employees and other department managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to handle guest interactions, both positive and negative, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems- including but not limited to- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly developed customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of the area and Granby Ranch services/amenities.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to learn new software. Example: Ticketing software (Siriusware).
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to stand, bend, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Climbing stairs, walking, and locating guests outside when necessary.
  • Weekend and holiday work required.
