Responsibilities:

New temporary project opportunity for a AR Specialist for a minimum of a twelve month assignment with a focus on Dispute and Collection activities while assisting with other AR duties. Join a team responsible for providing high quality AR cash collections and dispute management while maintaining excellent relationships with Bruker North America customers, internal business partners and finance leadership. Will work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure goals are met, cash collected, and disputes are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with various teams for resolution of deductions / disputes for collectability of up to 10-15M.
  • Track and report on progress of dispute handling based on internal guidelines and metrics.
  • Effectively manage an accounts receivable portfolio of up to 5-10M, specifically the collection of past due invoices (via telephone, email, customer payment portal, etc.) as needed in support of the shared services team.
  • Contact customer with past due balances in the portfolio to obtain payment commitments.
  • Resolve and remove internal obstacles that result in delayed payment while reducing overdue balances.
  • Assist the cash application team with resolving payment application discrepancies ensuring adjustments are completed in an accurate and timely manner (includes invalid deductions or partial payments).
  • Escalate to Sr. Collection Specialist/ Team Lead on major collection and dispute challenges that may require special attention.
  • Support and assist in process improvements with the ability to convey gaps, bottlenecks, and make recommendations that create efficiencies.
  • Support the team with order releases as assigned.
  • Meet or exceed targeted metrics, account delinquencies, disputes, and other quantitative targets.
  • Support other AR activities as assigned or deemed necessary by the Team Lead.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years AR collections and dispute management work experience with a multi-million-dollar portfolio in a high tech, life sciences, or manufacturing work environment required.
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP preferred.
  • Fluency in English required. Additional language fluency helpful.
  • Excellent oral, written, computer, quantitative communication skills, including advanced MS Office proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete tasks independently or as a team player and foster positive business relationships with all parties.
  • Proven strength in customer service with excellent email and telephone communication skills that consistently reflect a friendly, positive, and professional approach.
  • A full understanding of collections with the ability to solve a wide range of issues.
  • Ability to assess situations for importance, urgency, and risks, then make clear and timely decisions.
  • Take ownership and demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to drive initiatives if required.
  • Strong planning, organizational, coordination, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy with positive and constructive problem solving skills.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
