Rochester Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a laundry aide.
Salary: $15-$17.50/HR
Duties Include:
Functions as washer, dryer or runner person as assigned, following established procedure.
Serves as a liaison between laundry personnel and unit personnel.
Ensures an adequate stock of necessary supplies in the Laundry Room.
Reports to the Director of Housekeeping/Laundry any personnel problems.
Records quantity of linen available for delivery on daily “Linen Delivery” roster.
Reports any shortages to the Director of Housekeeping/Laundry.
Ensures washing, drying and folding of clothing and linen is done according to established procedures.
Reports problems to the Director of Housekeeping/Laundry (i.e. correct sorting, settings and weights are used, correct dryer temps, etc.).
Monitors quality of personal laundry processing. Ensures clothing is draped to minimize wrinkling.
Monitors condition of linens during folding process. Records all items pulled from service on “Out of Service” sheet.
Ensures all required documentation is completed.
Completes laundry quality assurance audits as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping/Laundry.
Ensures resident clothing and personal items are labeled according to procedure.
Adheres to all infection control standards, including using proper lifting techniques, etc.
Promptly reports any equipment problems to supervisor and to maintenance.
Requirements Include:
High school diploma preferred.
Lift up to 50lbs, carry up to 10lbs.
