WE LOVE OUR WORK.:
  • Hours: 4pm-8pm Thursday-Saturday.
  • Assists in the management of the employee access system including generating photo identification for employees and the racing personnel in compliance with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • Maintains an ejection log and file of all ejected patrons. Maintains a BOS log and file of BOS rulings.
  • Prepares name files and reports for the department manager on incidents concerning ejections. Fingerprinting for the new owners, trainers, or horsemen.
  • Maintains Security departments attendance point system.
  • Assists security administrator with the self-exclusion program.
  • Answers incoming calls and returns all messages in a timely manner.
  • Assists Risk and Compliance department to:
    • Electronically track annual training of all Team Members;
    • Plan and organize annual Team Member events; and
    • Maintain various electronic files per regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be well adept with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Access computer applications.
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Able to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Able to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Able to obtain licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Speaks clearly and politely; responds well to questions and contributes to building positive team spirit.
  • Can deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees. Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Regularly required to stand, speak, hear, use hands, reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and distance vision, color and depth perception, and peripheral vision. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • May be exposed to an environment where smoking is permitted and with higher than normal noise levels.
