** Position Description**
**Warehouse Specialist** Location **Granite City, IL** Job Code **2307** # of Openings **1** Shearwater Systems, LLC , a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a provide Warehouse Support to NAVAIR's Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division's (NAWCAD) Total Asset Visibility - Special Tooling/Special Test Equipment program in Granite City, Illinois. Work will be under close supervision of the Warehouse Material Coordinator.
**Qualified candidates will be expected to:**
* Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.
* Receiving duties typically involve the following: verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
* Candidates will also perform a variety of warehousing duties.
* Candidates will be responsible for verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
* Duties will include transporting or storing materials, manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations or transporting material.
**Position Requirements:**
* United States Citizenship
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
* Must have a valid United States Drivers License
* A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
* Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
* Proficient with MS Office Suite programs
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
** Must-have Experience:**
* Previous warehouse experience
**Strongly Preferred Experience:**
* Prior related experience that shows evidence of attention to detail
* Forklift experience
