Responsibilities:

Primary Purpose: Inspect, service, and maintain construction equipment to ensure optimal functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and equipment. Requires excellent mechanical skills, manual dexterity, and keen attention to detail. Proficient in operating various machines and tools while strictly adhering to safety precautions.

Duties:

• Inspect, repair, and maintain construction equipment, including but not limited to; bobcats, komatsu excavators, link-belt and grove cranes, snorkel scissor lifts, boom lifts and Case rubber-tired hoes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Drive to Job Sites or perform work at the construction yard
• Inspect equipment for proper performance
• Diagnose faults in equipment
• Adjust equipment and replacing faulty parts
• Repair damaged equipment parts
• Clean, lubricate and conduct routine services
• Clean and service machine attachments
• Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
• Keep logs of work

Skills and Abilities:

• Familiar with basic electrical, hydraulics and engines
• Familiar with trailer light repair
• Familiar with Honda small engines, Honda generators, Stihl cutoff saws and misc. small equipment
• Light fabricating skills
• Be punctual with a willingness to learn new things
• Good attitude and work ethic
• Must have own tools.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Any mechanic certifications are a plus
• Valid Driving license
• High School Diploma, or GED preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Work can be performed both inside and outside but is often performed outside under any type of weather conditions. Exposure to varying degrees/amounts of heat, cold, dust, dampness, ice, precipitation and mud. Must be able to: Climb and maintain balance on ladders; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects and materials; lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively. Stand or walk, stoop kneel crouch and crawl for long periods of time must have acceptable vision (either naturally or with correction).
