Job Title: Girls Basketball CoachLocation: Northside Charter High School (NCHS)Duration: January 2025 - March 2025Overview: Northside Charter High School (NCHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Girls BasketballCoach for the upcoming 2024-2025 basketball season. The ideal candidate will have a passion forbasketball, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and the ability to foster teamwork,sportsmanship, and personal growth.Coaching Expectations:• Plan and conduct regular practices for individual teams.• Attend all scheduled games, practices and events unless otherwise excused.• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development among student athletes.• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student athletes during practices and games.• Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by NCHS, the Athletic Department and Leaguegoverning body.• Perform any other duties reasonably related to coaching the [sport] team as assigned by theAthletic Director/Student Services.• Proper use, maintenance and upkeep of equipment and uniforms throughout the season.Mandatory Study Hall: Each team must complete at least two (2) hours of study hall per week.Coaches will decide hours that work best with schedule.Community Service Hours: Each team will be required to attend at least three (3) communityservice events during the season, decided either by the coach or Athletic Director.Student Athlete Attire: Each member of the team will be required to be in NCHS attire throughoutthe school day, as well as to any athletic or community service event(s).Qualifications:• Previous coaching experience is preferred.• In-depth knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies.• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team environment.• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).Compensation:• As compensation for the services performed by you at the school, you will be paid a stipendamount of $5000, that will be spread evenly throughout your checks from January '25 toMarch '25.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit the following:• A current resume highlighting relevant coaching and playing experience.• A cover letter detailing coaching philosophy and approach.Join us at NCHS and make a positive impact on the lives of our student-athletes while helping to build asuccessful and competitive girls' basketball program.Equal Opportunity Employer:NCHS is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individualsregardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteranstatus.
