Title: Payroll/Human Resources Generalist

Direct Hire

Location: Newport Beach

Pay: $80,000-85,000

Hours: 9-5 pm, hybrid work schedule 3 days onsite

Must have ADP WFN experience (company recently went through software implementation from Paylocity to ADP WFN)

5+ years of payroll experience

The primary focus of this role is to ensure the effective management of the complete payroll cycle. Additionally, this role will oversee various HR functions including onboarding, records management, employee recognition, HR audits, and handling general HR inquiries. 80% payroll and 20% HR

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Payroll Management & HRIS Maintenance**

- Process bi-weekly payroll

- Manage best practices related to full cycle payroll processing, reconciliation, and record keeping

- Onboard new hires into the HRIS system

- Respond to manager and employee inquiries regarding timekeeping, payroll, and the HRIS system

- Handle all employment changes in the HRIS system and collect acknowledgment documentation as needed

- Maintain organizational charts

- Generate and analyze census and headcount reports

- Oversee annual CA pay data reporting and EEO-1 report submissions

- Manage off-cycle payroll transactions such as separation/final checks, restricted stock vesting, ISO transactions, severance payments, etc.

- Administer time off policies, including conducting regular quarterly and year-end audits of balances

**Reporting and Reconciliation**

- Generate and submit payroll reports to the Accounting/Finance department

- Reconcile payroll against supporting documentation

- Set up new state tax and employment agency requirements, including applying for business licenses, tax setup with payroll vendors, and workers' compensation setup as needed

- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

**Records Management and Compliance**

- Maintain accurate and compliant retention and management of all personnel files

- Assist with onboarding for all new hires both out-of-state and locally in the San Diego region

- Serve as a backup for other new hire onboarding as required

- Manage employee engagement initiatives including service awards and other recognition programs

- Conduct data and document collection and respond to all bank audits related to HR

- Ensure HR compliance by updating and posting new labor legislation notices throughout the organization
