Position: Junior Credit Analyst Reports To: Credit Manager Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review PG (Personal Guarantee) and SAE (Single Asset Entity) Residential & Commercial loan applications.
  • Ensure compliance with ATR/QM, DODD-FRANK, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Underwriting Guidelines, QM & Non-QM loans.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of HMDA reporting.
  • Familiarity with Mortgage Pre-Approvals and Loan Estimates.
  • Analyze Personal and Business returns such as: 1040, 1120C, 1120S, 1065, Trust Returns.
  • Review and analyze Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, Interim Financial Statements, etc.
  • Accurately compute DTI, DSCR, LTV, and CLTV ratios.
  • Review Appraisal reports for Residential and Commercial properties.
  • Have knowledge of mortgage products.
  • Prepare daily loan pipeline reports as needed.
  • Interact with applicants/brokers/attorneys in person, through email, and over the phone.
  • Input information into the Association's origination system.
  • Compile information for analysis and present it for approval on time.
  • Assist in preparing loan files for Bank Attorneys for closing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 1 year of Credit Underwriting experience in Residential and Commercial mortgage loans.
  • Experience reviewing Appraisal Reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting (or related field) or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, and Encompass.
  • Understanding of credit reports and credit reporting agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to deadlines.US
