About the Role:

Being a painter, you will assist Works through the delivery of high-quality painting services. This position is responsible for setting up interior and exterior job sites, preparing surfaces for paint or stain, applying base and finish coats of paint/stain, and cleaning up the worksite. The position will perform basic carpentry repair work as needed and work directly with customers.

Key responsibilities of the role:

* With customers approval, relocate furniture, rugs, dcor, and switch plates as needed to ensure a clear work environment

* For interior work, cover all remaining surfaces in and around impacted work area, including immovable light and fan fixtures. Exterior surfaces (including landscape and hardscape) should be covered with protective covering

* Set up appropriate ladders and staging per Works by JD procedures and safety standards

* Prepare work surfaces for painting. Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting, fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Power wash exterior surfaces. Make basic carpentry repairs to surfaces as needed. Clean and vacuum walls to ensure proper adherence. Tape off areas when needed

* Complete interior and exterior painting projects from set up through breakdown in accordance to Works procedures and quality standards. Review work quality with Lead Painter and client to ensure the finished product meets expectations

* Maintain accurate records and documentation to assigned projects

* Communicate with the Field Supervisor, Subcontractors, and Clients, as necessary

* Take direction from Field Supervisors and Project Managers, as necessary

Qualifications:

* 2+ years professional painting experience, preferably in residential setting

* Clean cut, professional with solid English language skills and customer service skills

* Willing and able to climb ladders

* Ability to lift up to 100 lbs frequently

* OSHA 10 certification preferred, but well sponsor you if needed

Other Requirements:

* Current drivers license and reliable transportation

* Eligibility to work in the US and willingness to undergo a background check
