Your schedule

2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 1:00 PM-11:30 PM (4/10 Schedule)

This position does not require regular weekend or holiday work and has voluntary overtime!

What you will accomplish as a Material Handler

  • Operate pallet jack and other non-power equipment
  • Compares identifying information and counts weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Uses computer to look up, and verify data related to incoming and outgoing orders
  • Retrieves products from warehouse locations and assembles customer orders
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers, or selects preassembled containers and inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective paddin
  • Affixes shipping labels on packages or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment
  • Attaches identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, follows established procedures to reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper and supervisor to rectify damages and shortages
  • Stocks items into proper locations
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Follows all safety rules and 5S / Lean Manufacturing procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Ability to transition from working independently to working in a team environment
  • A consistent work history
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience using basic computer skills preferred
