- Help build the next generation of systems behind Meta's products.
- Create web and/or mobile applications.
- Build high-volume servers to support content.
- Build highly scalable performant solutions.
- Develop knowledge of algorithms while relying on core computer science concepts.
- Utilize ability to apply solutions to production problems and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Employ specialty knowledge of data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems.
- Utilize knowledge of data base management system software, development environment software, object oriented development software, program testing software, operating system software, and various programming languages.
- Utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, systems architecture, networking and storage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving:
- C and C++
- Relational databases and SQL
- HTML
- CSS
- Conducting design and code reviews
- Multithreading programming and mobile memory management
- Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
- REST APIs and GraphQL
- Building secure software with auditable access controls and permissions
- Browser APIs and optimizing front end performance of web-based applications
- Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
