Assist in preparing and coordinating Alumni Relations and Student Affairs programs and events, both off-campus and on-campus. The Alumni Relations and Student Affairs offices are dedicated to strengthening the lifelong relationship between alumni, students, and the school by delivering meaningful engagement and learning. Our events inspire a community that supports and extends the Landmark College mission of educating leaders who make a difference in the world.

The Event Assistant manages various administrative tasks and moves to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and conflicting priorities. This individual excels at multi-tasking, anticipates and proactively resolves problems, has good judgment, and is organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.

Academic Year Position: Early August through Mid-May

The Event Assistant's job duties include:

* Support the team with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations

* Assist in supervising student works and the Student Alumni Association, including recruitment, meetings, phone calls, and event planning.

* Planning and coordinating events: Assisting with the planning and coordinating events, such as meetings, programs, fundraisers, reunions, and large campus events.

* Helped manage communications plan: Produced communications for events, such as email, social media, and marketing.

* Support event logistics: Preparing program logistics, such as invitations, researching and calling vendors, and other cross-campus collaboration needs.

* Maintaining supplies: Maintaining supplies for various activities throughout the year.

* Supporting administrative tasks: Supporting the team with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations

* Assist with calendar and meeting scheduling

* Data entry: Entering data into the Alumni/Development Database

* Produce weekly communications plan for Alumni Relations social media messages via LinkedIn, Facebook, and growth on Instagram.

* Support Quarterly meetings for the Alumni Advisory Board and their committee work.

* Provide excellent customer service while assisting volunteers, alumni, parents, and visitors.

* Other duties as assigned to include assisting with activities and events as needed in the Student Affairs Department.

Physical Job Demands:

* Close visual acuity to analyze data and figures and to view a computer terminal.

* Ability to sustain substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and fingers

* Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10 lbs.

* Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or reach

Working Conditions:

* The worker is mainly in an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

* Casual Business Office Attire

Job requirements:

* Associate's Degree required

* Prior customer serves work

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry, as well as a willingness to learn database programs and specialized software for scheduling, project management, and event management.

* Ability to maintain complex and detailed time schedules

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic

* Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community

* Ability to manage and sensitivity to highly confidential information

* Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
