POSITION SUMMARYServes as Center Chief Operating Officer. Analyzes systems/data and uses proper judgment anddiscretion to resolve issues and problems including providing policy interpretation and decisionsto staff. Acts as primary liaison between Center and DOL Offices regarding Center activities andcontract compliance. Responds to Company and DOL requests in a timely and professional manner.Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISIONSupervises and manages the Job Corps Center and all related activities.RESPONSIBILITIESo Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.o Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals.o Responsible for the daily management, supervision and direction of the Job Corps Center andall related activities. Ensures a well maintained, attractive and safe Center environment forstudents.o Adherence to all DOL/Company-approved Human Resources policies and ensures all staff areprovided with a nondiscriminatory work environment with equal opportunity and treatment.o Ensures effective resource management to maximize overall Center performance.o Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner.o Effectively motivates, empowers and requires staff to perform his/her job responsibilities.Employs sound time-management and delegation skills. Holds staff accountable for producingquality work, develops staff for career progression and disciplines staff that fail to meet goals.o Provides required/supplemental training for new and current employees.o Motivates and manages staff to work effectively, creates a supportive work environment,recognizes staff accomplishments and proactively addresses staff performance concerns.o Develops Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, CareerTechnical Training and WBL. Promotes a positive image of the Center and Job Corps andestablishes meaningful relationships with elected officials.o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.This job description includes data that shall not be disclosed outside the Corporation and shall not be duplicated, used ordisclosed - in whole or in part - for any purposes.o Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift andappropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy tostudents and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.o Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained andstudent needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Providesquality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluatesappropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEBachelors degree from an accredited school required. Masters degree from an accredited schoolpreferred. A minimum of five years experience in program management and direction with asubstantial experience working with youth.Department of Labor approval required.
