Job Summary: We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to work at our Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic . This position will offer the ideal candidate a chance to practice in a NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home providing clinical care to children from birth to 18 years as well as serving as a designated Preceptor to Nurse Practitioner students from Upstate's College of Nursing . Can you help us? Here's what you'll do as an autonomous provider working with a multidisciplinary team:
- Be part of the direct care staff in performing all aspects of primary care in this cutting-edge Pediatric Clinic.
- Use your clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills to precept students at the College of Nursing.
- Hold a faculty appointment at Upstate Medical University College of Nursing.
- Demonstrate your commitment to care for an underserved population as this requires a unique level of compassion for both patients and families including the ability to communicate with cultural awareness.
- Improve quality while enhancing patient, employee and learner experience.
Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered NP required. Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience preferred.
Work Days: Monday through Friday, Days-No call or Weekends
