Position Summary:

The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and succession planning. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive team and ensures that the firm's human capital serves the best interests of the business and is aligned with its goals and objectives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the firm's mission and strategic vision.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage risk by developing and implementing policies and procedures that mitigate HR-related risks.
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business objectives.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executives and senior management of each department regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Work with the firm's executive team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the firm.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits.
  • Foster a positive work environment and culture that promotes our People First value, employee engagement, satisfaction, growth, and equal opportunity.
  • Implement and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring they meet organizational needs and employee growth objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Work Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years in a senior leadership role.
  • A Professional in Human Resources Certification or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
